1) Community Outreach Coordinator - *ON HOLD

RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW

The Outreach Coordinator (OC) will be responsible for connecting services to individuals, business, and community sectors in our service area to reach marginalized populations including Veterans and LGBTQ+, develop new partnerships, and work with stakeholders to expand access to our services and grow our community partnerships.

 SCOPE OF DUTIES
·  Create Annual Outreach Plan to raise awareness about and increase access to our services; set up and attend weekly outreach meetings with current and potential partners; track outreach activities and resource materials inventory, create funder reports; attend community partner events and meetings.

·  Create materials: press releases, brochures, and social media posts on related trends and issues in the addiction field to distribute in email campaigns and other  media outlets; become a Recovery Coach and support group facilitator; provide coaching and support group facilitation; work with other staff and partners to strategize ways to spread awareness about our services.

·  Develop new and maintain current relationships with local business owners and local officials to coordinate activities, fundraisers, and collaborative community programs; brainstorm new ideas about how to better meet the needs of the people we serve.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

·  Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
·  Be comfortable public speaking/training
·  Represent RC to partners, media, donors, and local and state governments.
·  Excellent Time management
·  Office Be proficient in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Adobe, others (will train some)
·  Ability to multitask and be efficient juggling a variety of projects simultaneously

PREFERRED EDUCATION & TRAINING

High school diploma; preferred BA/BS degree with major in social services, public relations, community engagement, human services, business administration, human resources.
Past education and professional experience is considered. Candidates should have good knowledge of Monadnock Region resources.

SCHEDULE / COMPENSATION

Position: Full time 30hrs/wk Monday – Friday, occasional evenings/Saturday events Salary:     $23-25/hr & benefits

Recovery Coach
(6-8 hours / week)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Recovery Coach role is to support others in their recovery from drug and alcohol addiction by serving as a coach, role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator, and to support participant-driven goals to rebuild a life in recovery.  Coaches do not practice outside of their scope of skills, or sway people to believe their own beliefs, values or morals, or change people.  The primary goal is to support people find and sustain recovery. Coaches are expected to have completed the Recovery Coach Academy Training Series within the last 10 years, or attend within 3 months of hire.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES  

RECOVERY COACHING & SOCIAL SERVICES NAVIGATION SUPPORT

·      Conduct intakes and fill out Interaction Form during every session
·      Conduct GPRA intakes, surveys, and follow-ups
·      Create person-centered recovery plans with new people requesting services
·      Schedule sessions and phone check-ins weekly
·      Develop strong, healthy relationships to support the healing processes and growth  
·      Identify and connect to community resources that support goals and interests
·      Develop effective job seeking skills
·      Help guide management of personal finances and budgeting help
·      Connect with community partners and social service agencies to access transportation, stable housing/recovery housing, childcare, food stamps and state benefits, financial support, health insurance, mental health support and other needed social services
·      Encourage participants to engage in support groups and prosocial activities
·      Support people to complete recovery plan goals, adjusting as needed


DOCUMENTATION / MEETINGS / EDUCATION / SUPERVISION

  • Complete required documentation and program-specific forms accurately and on time using various data platforms  

  • Accurately report time worked on time sheets

  • Ongoing documentation & data entry - referrals, intakes, sessions, and data reports

  • Participate in supervision and scheduled team meetings

  • Participate in required professional development trainings (ongoing)

COMPENSATION:
Recovery Coaches are part-time positions paid at a rate of $21/hour inclusive of mileage. 
In office coaches have access to office supplies, a desk and laptop for data entry, forms and files, and printers. Some financial assistance is provided toward professional development and needed supervision towards your CRSW.
