Harm Reduction

  • 130 Pembroke Rd UNIT 100, Concord, NH 03301 United States (map)

n response to the recent uptick in overdoses in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, H2RC is working to enhance naloxone distribution in the region and is offering a new Overdose Prevention training for people who want to dispense naloxone, better support people who use drugs, or further their understanding of the overdose crisis. The goal of these trainings is to enhance the existing system of naloxone distribution and work with impacted communities to enhance access to life-saving harm reduction services for those who are most at risk of overdose.

This updated Naloxone and Harm Reduction Training will have an emphasize on harm reduction as a philosophy and a framework of working with people, current drug trends, and pragmatic approaches to overdose prevention.

You will leave this training with an understanding of:

  • Current drug trends, evidence-based interventions for drug use, overdose prevention strategies, naloxone administration;

  • How, with harm reduction, all drug-related death is preventable; and

  • The intersectionality of {Prevention, Intervention, Treatment, and Recovery} with Harm Reduction.
